A little side project I have been working on. This show featured four Nashville area designers showcasing their work to the music of four local bands (Enjoy the Zoo, Hot Chelle Rae, N.O.B.O.T.S., and Defense Wins Championships). Only one camera for this shoot but I think I got some really good images. The editing was done by Shane Wise.

TN Youth Evangelism Conference 2009

About 10,128 youth, leaders and volunteers attended the 41st annual Tennessee Baptist Convention’s Youth Evangelism Conference held March 6-7 at the Municipal Auditorium located here.

“We saw an incredible harvest Friday night with 757 decision cards turned in, and all were professions of faith,” said Kent Shingleton, TBC evangelism youth specialist.

Two identical sessions were held back to back Friday and Saturday in the downtown auditorium, which maintained a high energy worship style with videos, contemporary Christian recording artists, hair-raising illusionists, evangelists who are also authors, youth speakers and testimonies by missionaries.

A prayer seminar was offered at Two Rivers Baptist Church, Nashville, which was attended by 3,100. A prayerwalk was also held in downtown Nashville.

Clayton King who spoke on Friday night, just recently saw “about 3,200 people come to know Christ because of his ministry,” reported Shingleton.

2009 Business at its Best Celebration

The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce was a brightly shining star Friday night. BUSINESS AT ITS BEST 2009 CELEBRATION attracted 600-plus enthusiastic supporters to the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center. New Chamber President Mike Malone gave a very upbeat and positive introduction. As he concluded, Malone talked about how extremely bright is Rutherford County’s future. The next thing you saw was the new leader wearing giant sunglasses.

The entire evening offered creative communication designed to share how fortunate all of us are to live, work and raise our families in Rutherford County. Outgoing Chairman Shane Reeves said 81-years ago Mickey Mouse debuted, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to successfully pilot an aircraft across the Atlantic, and several community leaders formed the local chamber of commerce…all of that in 1928.

This was a very simple shoot, one camera (located at the front of the huse) and a computer feed. The hard part wrangling all the speakers when it was there turn.

2009 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Celebration

The Gospel Music Channel (GMC) will broadcast the world premiere of the 2009 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel special Sunday, February 22 at 8 p.m. EST as part of the channel’s celebration of Black History Month. Co-hosted by Grammy Award-winning and platinum-selling star Kirk Franklin and BMI’s Catherine Brewton, the event honoring pacesetters Twinkie Clark, Donald Lawrence, and CeCe Winans features inspired live performances from a selection of contemporary stars and gospel powerhouses including Lalah Hathaway, Kim Burrell, Kierra “Kiki” Sheard, Donald Lawrence, LeJuene Thompson, Arnette Murrill Crooms, Israel Houghton, and Tommy Simms.

Methodist University Hospital, home to one of the busiest neuroscience institutes in the country, made an innovative breakthrough in medicine by launching a Virtual Brain Tumor Board Webcast series, the first program of its kind. Virtual Brain Tumor Board (VBTB) expands on the universal tumor board concept by providing an online platform where a multi-disciplinary team of experts including neurosurgeons, pathologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and neuro interventional radiologists reviews challenging clinical cases and collaborates together to create the best treatment plan for each patient.

This innovative, educational forum is designed to provide real-time collaboration and on-demand access to some of the most leading-edge treatments in brain tumor care.

“Our goal is to give physicians in other geographic areas the chance to receive the expertise and experience from our physicians here regarding brain tumor treatment and care for their patients,” said Allen K. Sills, M.D., neurosurgeon and moderator of VBTB. To date, VBTB Webcasts have been very successful in providing an interactive, collaborative platform to viewers across the globe. We’ve seen participation from over 800 registered participants from more than 80 countries and nearly every state in the USA. Methodist University Hospital’s multi-disciplinary team of experts has reviewed cases for patients outside of the country in Australia, India, and Japan. Physicians across the globe are invited to submit cases for live review.

This was a very simple four camera shoot. Two front of house cameras and two cameras to shoot the audience members. Moderator Allen K. Sills took questions submitted by doctors from around the world during this two hour discussion between some of the leading physicians in the field.

The Tennessee Titans go into week as the only undefeated team left in the NFL. Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts look to take that title away from their division rival. The highlights of the Titans’ offense was the one yard touchdowns made by LeDale White and the completed two point conversion thrown by Kerry Collins to tie up the game at the end of the third quarter. Chris Hope intercepts two of Mannings passes in their 31-21 win. The Titans defense has not allowed a sack in their last five games and coach Jeff Fisher has tied Mike Ditka for 22nd in NFL history with 127 career wins (ESPN).
